The Hermanos Unidos Book Scholarship
This $500.00 scholarship is designed to assist college freshman with acquiring books and other incidentals that will assist their transition from high school to college. The scholarship candidate should fit the following criteria:

- Latino male high school senior who is eligible for graduation
- Have an acceptance letter to a Philadelphia college / university
- Have submitted a letter of intent to attend a public or private college or university
- cumulative high school GPA of 3.00 (B average)

Student that fit these criteria must fill out the attached application and submit the completed application, an essay an official high school transcript, a copy of their acceptance letter to a Philadelphia college/university and two letters of recommendation to their college counselor by March 20, 2008. A representative of the fraternity will visit your school to collect any completed applications on Friday, March 21st. The National Board will select a scholarship reading committee form among the undergraduate chapter at Temple University and from the fraternity alumni. The reading committee will make its decision on the scholarship winner by April 16, 2008. A representative of the National Board will contact the scholarship recipient and provide them with two complimentary tickets to our Founders Banquet on Saturday, April 25th at Ilona Keller’s Dugan’s Restaurant located at 7900 Roosevelt Blvd.
