Especially, when there are hermanos who are not able to physically be present at all fraternity meetings, hang out times, events, etc.

Chapter Requirements
Academic Excellence
In order to become an organization that enforces our academic excellence foundation, every chapter needs to focus on fostering study sessions between brothers in where academia is strictly enforced. Two study sessions per week are strongly encouraged. If a house is available, Mondays through Thursdays should always be dedicated as study nights for the hermanos, and anyone else who does intervene with the goals of Academic Excellence. Also the Vice President will collect biweekly reports from every undergraduate hermano. Each report will contain attendance, grades, quizzes, tutoring attendance and other academic related activities.

Brotherhood
The brotherhood within Gamma Phi Sigma “Hermanos Unidos” Fraternity, Inc. is unique. This fraternity does not pride itself soley on its achievements,or on-campus / off-campus recognition. More importantly, the fraternity prides itself in the diversity and unity that exists within the Hermandad. There are brothers from all backgrounds, origins, values, visions, futures and purposes in life. The ability to make all these come together, co-exist, function, and support one another is the epitome of the fraternity. That is our legacy in whatever campus where we are present. Hermanos in each chapter are required to have at least 2 hours of bonding each week. In which will be documented and reported to the Vice President. The whole chapter should gather together and watch a movie, have lunch on campus, go to the pool, workout together, etc. The activities are vast and yet the time asked is small so take advantage of this opportunity.

Community Service
Each chapter will designate an hermano who will lead the community service activities as well as coordinate possible collaborations with other organizations. This designated brother will also coordinate with the treasurer if money is needed. The hermanos is also responsible for the creation of the proposal, marketing and advertisements of any community service event.

We also require every chapter to create a formal proposal and take pictures of every event produced by the chapter.
